National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Law Officer posts at the E0 level for NTPC Projects and Stations. There are 06 vacancies available for this recruitment.

Interested and eligible candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law can apply online through the NTPC careers portal. The online application process has started on 02 January 2026 and will close on 16 January 2026. Candidates must also have appeared in CLAT 2026 (Post Graduate Programme).

Eligibility Criteria of NTPC Assistant Law Officer Posts

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent – full time) from a recognised Indian University or Institute.
• Minimum 60% marks required. Minimum qualifying marks for SC and PwBD candidates is 55%.
• Candidate must have appeared for CLAT 2026 Post Graduate Programme.

Age Limit:

• Upper age limit is 30 years as on the last date of online application.
• Relaxation in age applies for SC, OBC (NCL), PwBD, Ex-servicemen and other eligible categories as per Government norms.

Nationality:

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible.

Salary Details

• Pay Scale: Rs. 30000–120000 (IDA Pattern), E0 Level.
• Posting can be at any NTPC Unit, Project, Joint Venture or Subsidiary.
• All postings are transferable.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on CLAT 2026 PG Programme Score.
• Further selection stages may include written test, interview or other stages as decided by NTPC.
