
SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday released a special commemorative postal cover issued by the Department of Posts to honour the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team’s historic Ranji Trophy victory for the 2025–26 season.
The Lt Governor also interacted with the winning squad and support staff, congratulating them on their achievement. He described the performance as a reflection of a “rising sporting culture” in the Union Territory and a milestone moment for Jammu and Kashmir cricket.
The event marked the formal unveiling of the special cover at Lok Bhavan.
Sagar Hanuman Singh, Chief Postmaster General, JK Circle, Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd.), Member of the BCCI Sub-Committee JKCA, office bearers of the Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), and senior officials of the Postal Department were present on the occasion.
