
SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Srinagar will remain affected on March 18 due to a scheduled shutdown of two 33 KV transmission lines, officials said on Monday.
According to the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), the shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina–Fateh Kadal line and the 33 KV Bemina–Barbarshah line will be carried out to facilitate necessary works.
As a result, electricity supply to KK Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohri Kadal, BB Shah, Bishamber Nagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisadak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking Maisuma and adjoining areas will remain suspended from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on March 18.
Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, advised consumers in the affected localities to make necessary arrangements during the shutdown period.
