
SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction for the delegation of Drawing and Disbursing (D and D) powers in respect of six headless institutions and offices under the School Education Department, pending regular arrangements.
According to Government Order No. 161-JK (Edu) of 2026 issued by the School Education Department on April 23, 2026, the powers have been assigned to designated officers as detailed in Annexure-A attached with the order.
The order, issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, states that the delegated powers shall be strictly confined to drawing and disbursing purposes and shall not be used otherwise under any circumstances.
As per the annexure, DIET Banihal (Ramban) has been assigned to the Principal, DIET Kulgam, while DIET Poonch has been placed under Mohd Shabir, Associate Professor (CEO and Eq.), SCERT Divisional Office, Jammu. DIET Beerwah (Budgam) has been assigned to an Assistant Professor, SCERT Central, JK.
Similarly, administrative charge for Headmaster HS Chak Jaffer (Jammu) has been given to the Headmaster HS Burj Mandir (Jammu), HS Gurah Brahmana (Jammu) to Principal HSS Paloura, and HS Tanda Kangri (Rajouri) to Principal HSS Bajabain (Rajouri).
The department has directed that all concerned officers must ensure compliance with rules in force and maintain proper records as prescribed under the General Financial Rules (GFR-2017).
