ICFRE TFRI Forest Guard, Driver And Technical Assistant Posts, Check Qualification And Apply Now

The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education’s Tropical Forest Research Institute (ICFRE TFRI) has issued an official notification inviting online applications from Indian Nationals for Group C posts. A total of 14 vacancies are available for Technical Assistant, Forest Guard, and Driver (Ordinary Grade) positions. The application window is open from 14 July 2025 to 10 August 2025 via the MPOnline portal.

As per the notification, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and age limits. The upper age for Technical Assistant is 30 years, and 27 years for both Forest Guard and Driver. Applicants selected for these posts will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission along with applicable allowances. The final appointment will also include enrolment under the National Pension System.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online before 11:59 PM on 10 August 2025. The selection process includes a computer-based test followed by skill or physical tests. Examination fees vary from ₹850 to ₹1,050 depending on the category and post.

Online application starts on 14 July 2025. The last date to apply is 10 August 2025. The Stage-I written exam is tentatively scheduled in the first week of September 2025.

Vacancy Details:
The recruitment aims to fill 10 posts of Technical Assistant (Category II – Field/Lab), 3 posts of Forest Guard, and 1 post of Driver (Ordinary Grade), totaling 14 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Technical Assistant, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Botany, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Statistics. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on 1 July 2025.
For Forest Guard, 12th pass with Science is required, along with a training program in Forestry during probation. The age must be between 18 and 27 years.
For Driver, matriculation along with a valid driving license and three years of experience is required. Age must be between 18 and 27 years.

Eligible candidates must apply online through the MPOnline portal. No offline forms will be accepted.

Application Fee:
Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories must pay examination and processing fees ranging from ₹850 to ₹1,050 including GST. Women, SC, ST, Divyangjan, and Ex-servicemen are exempted from the examination fee.

Selection Process:
Selection includes a computer-based test followed by a skill or physical efficiency test. For Forest Guard, physical measurements and walking test are part of the selection. Driver post applicants must clear a practical driving test. The written test for all posts includes multiple-choice questions with one-third negative marking.
