Er. Aijaz Hussain Receives Zee Media Award of Excellence as Best Youth Leader of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: Er. Aijaz Hussain Rather, senior BJP leader, social activist and Member of the Haj Committee of India, was conferred the Zee Media Award of Excellence in the category of Best Youth Leader of Jammu and Kashmir at a ceremony held in Srinagar recently.

The award recognises his engagement in public service, youth outreach and grassroots political work across Jammu and Kashmir. Over the years, he has been associated with initiatives focused on public grievance redressal, youth engagement and advocacy for development-oriented interventions in the Union Territory.

He is also credited within party circles for contributing to early organisational expansion efforts of the Bharatiya Janata Party in parts of the Kashmir Valley and for strengthening its outreach among younger sections of the population.

Speaking after receiving the award, Er. Aijaz Hussain expressed gratitude to the organisers and said the recognition would encourage him to continue working for public welfare. He dedicated the honour to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated his commitment to public service.

He said the recognition reflects collective efforts aimed at promoting peace, development and democratic participation, adding that he remains committed to working on issues related to youth empowerment and socio-economic progress.

The ceremony was attended by public representatives, media professionals, social activists, entrepreneurs and members of civil society. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah attended the event as chief guest.
