SRINAGAR: The Joint Coordination Committee of Engineering Graduates Associations (JCCEGA) has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected Executive Committee of The Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu Kashmir State Centre (IEI JKSC), calling the development a milestone for the region’s engineering community.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the JCCEGA said the new executive body represents a “vibrant cross-section of the engineering fraternity,” comprising professionals from the civil, mechanical, and electrical streams — a reflection of unity and competence within the sector.

Chairman of JCCEGA offered special felicitations to Er Ferdous Ahad Bhat, President of JKMEGA, on being elected as the youngest-ever Chairman of IEI JK State Centre. He also congratulated Er. Irfan Ahamed Reshi, General Secretary of JKCEGA, for assuming the position of Honorary Secretary IEI, alongside senior members Er. Bashrat Jeelani Kawoosa (Former Chief Engineer), Er Shabir Ahamed Tak, and Er Irfan Reshi Parray.

Veteran engineers, including Er Mohammed Ashraf Fazilli (Former Chief Engineer) and Er Mohammed Amin Kak (Former Chairman, IEI), voiced optimism that under Er Bhat’s leadership, the new executive team will “usher in a new era of dynamism and professional excellence.”

The engineering fraternity across Jammu Kashmir expressed confidence that the newly elected committee would strengthen professional ethics, encourage innovation, and enhance public service delivery through engineering excellence and collective reform.
