Educational Institutions To Remain Closed In Six Kashmir Districts Tomorrow

SRINAGAR: In view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions, authorities have ordered the closure of all educational institutions, including schools, colleges and universities, across six districts of Kashmir on Tuesday.

According to an official order, the districts where institutions will remain shut are Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Budgam and Srinagar.

The administration said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure. “The situation is being monitored closely by the administration and there is no reason for panic. However, people are advised to stay alert and adhere to the advisories issued by the Meteorological Department,” the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir said.
