Dr Farooq greets people on Urs Hazrat BulBul Shah (RA)

Srinagar, Dec 28: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah has extended greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Syed Sharaf-ud-Din Abdul Rehman Shah BulBul Shah Turkestani (RA).

In his message, he said Urs of BulBul Shah (RA), the revered Sufi saint who played a pivotal role in spreading the message of Islam and spirituality in Kashmir, is a reminder of the rich legacy of Sufism that emphasizes peace, love, tolerance, and brotherhood, said a press release.

He noted that the teachings of the great saint continue to inspire generations and guide society towards harmony and mutual respect. Dr Farooq prayed for peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in J&K and hoped that the occasion would strengthen the bonds of unity among people of all faiths. He urged the people to imbibe the values of compassion, humility, and selfless service preached by BulBul Shah (RA) in their daily lives.
