CM Omar Lays Foundation for Automated Vehicle Testing Station in Pampore

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Automated Testing Station at Pampore, a key initiative aimed at enhancing road safety and strengthening transport infrastructure in Jammu Kashmir.

The ceremony was attended by Minister for Transport Satish Sharma, MLA Pampore Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi, Secretary Transport Department Avny Lavasa, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Basharat Qayoom, Managing Director JK Road Transport Corporation AR War, and other senior officials.

The new facility is designed to provide scientific and reliable vehicle fitness assessments, reduce manual intervention, and promote safer mobility across the region, reflecting the government’s focus on modernising transport systems.
