‘Baseless Allegations Exposed Within Seconds, Do Your Homework First’: CM Omar to Critics | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: CM Omar Abdullah on Sunday launched a sharp attack on his political critics, asserting that their “baseless allegations” are exposed “within seconds” while his government remains focused on development and public welfare.

“Those levelling charges without facts should first have the courage to do their homework. Lies made without substance are exposed within seconds,” Abdullah told reporters in Ganderbal district.

His remarks came after he laid the foundation stone for Phase-I of the Sindh Riverfront Project, a Rs 40-crore initiative aimed at promoting tourism and creating modern public spaces along the Sindh stream.

In a major healthcare initiative, the Chief Minister also inaugurated advanced DEXA Scan and Fibro Scan facilities at District Hospital Ganderbal.

Abdullah further announced a series of measures aimed at strengthening local film infrastructure, including the introduction of a single-window clearance system and reduced costs for production houses.

“We are working with organisations, particularly in Mumbai, to create a trained pool of resources so that when a film unit comes here, they do not have to bring everyone with them,” he said.

“It is cheaper for the film unit and it also generates local employment,” the Chief Minister added, stating that plans are also underway to establish a local pool of high-end filming equipment.

He said a dedicated Tourism Department officer would now coordinate all permissions for film-related activities.

“It is something we are currently in the process of implementing, and we hope it will yield results soon,” Abdullah said. (KNS)
