Baramulla Admin Appoints Three Magistrates as Hajj Officers | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The district administration Baramulla in northern part of Kashmir has deployed three magistrates as Haj officers to facilitate pilgrims from Baramulla district for the upcoming Haj pilgrimage commencing April 18, 2026.

An official said that additional Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, designated Tehsildar Sopore Sheikh Tariq, Tehsildar Pattan Haroon Ul Rashid, and Tehsildar Baramulla Anamul Maqbool Bhat as the nodal officers for their respective sub-divisions.

He said pilgrims from Sub-Division Sopore, Sub-Division Pattan and Gulmarg, and Sub-Division Uri and Baramulla have been advised to contact the concerned officers for any Haj-related assistance, the officer said.

The contact numbers of the designated officers — 9906641026, 7006524244, and 9682366506 — have also been made public for the convenience of pilgrims.

Officials said the step has been taken to ensure smooth coordination and prompt redressal of grievances ahead of the annual pilgrimage. (KNS)
