Admissions open for postgraduate, Ph.D programmes at CUK

Srinagar, Jun 1: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has commenced the admission process for its wide range of postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2026–27. The University invites candidates who have appeared in the CUET-PG-2026 examination to register for admission through the prescribed online process.

According to the Directorate of Admissions, the University is offering admissions to the postgraduate programmes, including M.A. English, M.A. Urdu, M.Com, M.A. Mass Communication and Journalism, M.A. Economics, M.A. Political Science, M.A. Kashmiri, LL.M., M.Ed., Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed., M.P.Ed., M.Sc. Botany, M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Zoology (Lateral Entry), M.Sc. Biotechnology (Lateral Entry), M.Sc. Physics (Lateral Entry), M.Sc. Mathematics (Lateral Entry), M.A. Philosophy with specializations in Islamic Studies and Religious Studies, M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and M.Tech. in Structural Engineering and M.Tech in Structural Engineering (for working professionals).

Admissions to all these programmes shall be strictly based on the merit secured by candidates in CUET-PG-2026. Applicants are advised to exercise the same programme preferences during the registration process as were indicated by them in their CUET-PG-2026 application submitted to the National Testing Agency (NTA). Meanwhile, the varsity has invited online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.Dprogrammes for the academic session 2026–2027 (July 2026 intake) in the following departments: Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Communication & Journalism, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Information & Technology, Law, Management Studies, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics, Politics & Governance, Philosophy & Religious Studies, Tourism Studies, Urdu & Zoology.
