North Kashmir: Infiltration Attempt Foiled, Two Militants Killed

SRINAGAR: Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt, killing two militants along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.

Official sources said that, the movement of armed infiltrators across the LoC in the area was seen and security forces responded promptly, and managed to foil the infiltration.

“Both the militants were neutralized during the operation,” they added.

Earlier yesterday, Inspector General of BSF Kashmir Frontier, Ashok Yadav said that security forces are maintaining maximum vigilance along the Line of Control (LoC) to counter infiltration attempts by militants ahead of the winter season. (KNC)
