Woman Dies, Husband Critically Injured in Srinagar Road Accident

SRINAGAR: A woman lost her life while her husband was critically injured in a road accident at Umerabad HMT area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday evening.

Official sources said that the duo, identified as 50-year-old Fahmeeda, wife of Bashir Ahmad, and her 55-year-old husband Bashir Ahmad, residents of Umerabad HMT Srinagar, were hit by an unknown vehicle while crossing the road.

They were rushed to JVC Hospital Bemina, where doctors declared Fahmeeda dead due to severe head trauma, while Bashir Ahmad remains in critical condition.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. (KNC)
