SRINAGAR: JK Bank organised a series of Login Day events this week across Jammu and Kashmir under the government’s Mission YUVA programme, handing over 300 sanction letters to aspiring entrepreneurs and reaffirming its role as the leading driver of youth empowerment in the region.

The events, held in Srinagar, Udhampur, Anantnag, Pulwama, Budgam, Jammu, and Baramulla, witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youth, administrative officials, and senior bank functionaries.

At Srinagar, General Manager Syed Rais Maqbool, joined by Zonal Head Layek Ahmad Jaan and other officers, distributed 46 sanction letters, emphasising the Bank’s resolve to back “job givers rather than job seekers.” In Udhampur, General Manager Anand Pal Singh, alongside Deputy Commissioner (Reasi) Nidhi Malik, handed over 35 sanction letters. Malik commended the Bank’s “commendable” role in shaping entrepreneurial ambitions into viable ventures.

Similar outreach took place in Anantnag, where 31 sanction letters were distributed under the chairmanship of General Manager Rajesh Gupta, and in Pulwama, where General Manager Shabir Ahmad presided over the distribution of 50 sanction letters. Budgam witnessed 26 beneficiaries receiving support, while in Jammu, General Manager Rakesh Magotra and Divisional Head Ashok Gupta, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Dr Rakesh Minhas, facilitated 60 young entrepreneurs. At Baramulla, 52 sanction letters were handed over during the event led by General Manager Nishikant Sharma.

Across districts, government officials underlined the importance of Mission YUVA in bridging aspirations with resources. ADDC (Anantnag) S S Bali noted that the Union Territory government aims to create over five lakh jobs in the coming years and advised youth to use technology and e-commerce to expand their ventures.

Senior Bank executives echoed the same commitment, stressing hassle-free processes, timely sanctioning, and continued handholding support. “Mission YUVA reflects our commitment to creating equal opportunities for young entrepreneurs across regions,” said General Manager Shabir Ahmad at Pulwama.

The week-long series of events also featured interactive sessions where beneficiaries expressed satisfaction over the ease of application and support extended by JK Bank in preparing project reports. Many lauded the Bank’s proactive role in guiding them toward self-reliance.

With 300 new ventures set to take shape under Mission YUVA, JK Bank has once again positioned itself as a key partner in the Union Territory’s drive towards youth-led economic growth and entrepreneurship.
