
Ganderbal, Sep 12: The Central University Kashmir’s 7th semester team clinched the Law Department’s Inter-Semester Cricket Tournament title on Friday, defeating the 5th semester by six wickets in a high-voltage final at the Physical Education Ground in Ganderbal.
As per a statement issued, the registrar, Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir, along with Prof. Dr Farooq Ahmad Mir, Head and Dean of the Department of Law, and Mr Kaukab Azeeb, Director of Sports, graced the occasion with their presence. Dr Nisar congratulated both the teams for their grit, determination and sportsmanship that was exhibited. He emphasised the role that sports have on health and overall development.
Prof. Dr Farooq added to the flow by congratulating the teams and highlighting the importance of participation in these activities.
Dr Azeem elucidated the value of discipline and exhibition of sportsmanship and spirit on the field as well as in life.
The Department of Physical Education played a huge role in making the tournament a grand success.
