Woman dies, husband injured on Jammu-Poonch highway

Jammu, Sep 6: A 20-year-old woman died and her husband was injured after shooting stones struck their motorcycle on the Jammu–Rajouri–Poonch National Highway near Kalai Friday evening.

The husband-wife duo were travelling on their motorcycle and moving from Surankote to Poonch, and at Kalai, shooting stones hit the motorcycle, and both of them got injured.

Injured duo Nazakat Hussain, son of Maqbool Hussain, and his wife, Fozia Tabassum, residents of Gulpur, were shifted to Poonch Hospital, from where Fozia Tabassum was referred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, where she succumbed.
