Drug Peddler Arrested with Contraband in G’bl – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Ganderbal Police on Friday arrested a drug peddler and recovered a charas-like substance during routine patrolling in the Preng area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan.

As per officials, a police party under the supervision of SHO Lateef Ahmad, intercepted a suspicious individual, identified as Farhad Khan, son of Mohd Arifeen Khan, resident of Gujarpati Preng. Upon searching him, the contraband was recovered on the spot.

A case has been registered under FIR No. 58/2025 in terms of sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kangan, and further investigation has been taken up.

Police have in the meantime reiterated its resolve to intensify the fight against drug abuse and urged the public to cooperate by reporting any information related to drug peddling or other unlawful activities.
