Srinagar, Aug 27: The Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC) hosted the third club tournament of the season, a Fourball Greensome (Partner by Choice) event, which teed off on Aug 27 and will run for five days.
As per a statement, a total of 56 golfers, including lady golfers, participated in the tournament played under cloudy and wet conditions on the scenic Zabarwan Hills course.
The unique format of the tournament, Four-Ball Greensome (Partner by Choice), added an exciting twist to the event, with the alternate shots by the partners promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship among club members, allowing players to strategise and rely on each other’s strengths to compete for top honours. The tournament teed off in the afternoon under cloudy and wet golfing weather conditions, which added difficulty for golfers. The lush greens and panoramic views of the Zabarwan Hills and Dal Lake provided a stunning backdrop for an engaging day of golf. Participants displayed commendable skills, and several close finishes added thrill to the contest throughout the course. The Royal Springs Golf Course remains committed to fostering a vibrant golfing culture in Kashmir and plans to host several more such tournaments and activities in the upcoming months, aimed at engaging golfers of all levels and promoting the sport across the region.
