J&K Fiction Writers Guild holds 339th session

Srinagar, Aug 23: The 339th session of the JK Fiction Writers Guild was held at Abi Guzar, Srinagar on Friday during which noted educationist and writer Prof Jehangir Danish said the special session dedicated to Pahari fiction was a landmark event and has opened new communications channels between the Kashmir and Pahari speaking communities living in Kashmir, which will help them to come more closer and share each other’s stories.

Prof Danish lauded the role of JK Fiction Writers Guild in promoting fiction, while breaking language barriers.

Prof Jehangir Iqbal who was the chief guest on the occasion said that Guild has come up as a vibrant platform for young fiction writers where they not only learn the nuances of fiction writing but share and consolidate their experiences as well.

Three short stories were read on the occasion . The first short story in Pahari titled Sooch was read out by Zubair Qureshi in Pahari .Wahid Minhas read out his short story “zi chuli” and Ayoub Dilbar read out his short story titled “zindagi kae paychu kham”
