Dr Karan Singh expresses grief over Kishtwar cloudburst tragedy

Jammu, Aug 16: Eminent statesman and former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Karan Singh, has expressed profound grief over the tragic cloudburst at Chositi village in Kishtwar district, which has claimed numerous lives, left several people missing, and caused large-scale devastation, as per a press release.

In his condolence message, Dr. Karan Singh said, “The loss of so many precious lives, including devotees participating in the sacred Machail Mata Yatra, is deeply distressing. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, and I wish a swift recovery for the injured.”

He emphasized the need for a fast-paced rescue operation to trace the missing persons and called for better medical treatment facilities for the injured.
