Soz extends condolence to bereaved families

Srinagar, Aug 14: Former Union Minister and Congress leader Prof. Saifuddin Soz on Thursday expressed grief over the loss of lives caused by a cloudburst in Chishoti village, Padder area of Kishtwar district. He extended his deepest sympathies to the affected people.

In a statement issued here Soz said, “I am shocked and deeply grieved by the loss of precious lives in a massive cloudburst in Kishtwar.

This is a profound tragedy. Reports say at least 30 bodies have been recovered, while several others remain missing. Many people have sustained severe injuries in this natural calamity. The scale of this tragedy is beyond words.”
