Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), Malanjkhand Copper Project, has issued an official notification calling for online applications from Indian citizens for 167 Trade Apprentice positions in various trades under the Apprenticeship Act 1961. As per the notification, the minimum age for applicants is 18 years and the maximum is 25 years, with relaxation for reserved categories. The duration of training will range from 1 to 3 years depending on the trade. The selection will be purely merit-based, with weightage given to marks in 10th and ITI (if applicable).

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
For Mate and Blaster: 10th pass under 10+2 system.
For all other trades: ITI in relevant trade from a recognised institute.
Candidates with higher academic qualifications such as Diploma, B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.E., etc., are not eligible.
Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 25 years
Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years.

Selection Process:
The selection will be on a merit basis:
For ITI trades, 70% weightage will be given to 10th marks and 30% to ITI marks. For non-ITI trades, 100% weightage will be on 10th marks. If scores are tied, preference will go to the older candidate.
