Srinagar, Aug 6: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday called for a strict crackdown after authorities seized 350 kg of rotten, unregulated meat in Pulwama, just days after 1,200 kg of spoiled meat was confiscated from a cold storage facility in Srinagar.
In a post on X, Bukhari expressed deep concern over the back-to-back incidents, warning that they pose a serious threat to public health.
“These incidents raise grave concerns about public safety. A comprehensive investigation is imperative to determine whether such practices have occurred in the past as well,” he said.
Calling for strict action, Bukhari stated, “Those involved in this shameful trade must face the law of the land. There should be zero tolerance for activities that put public health at risk.” (KNC)
