SRINAGAR: Pakistan troops on Tuesday evening resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said that, the firing targeted forward Indian positions, prompting a strong and effective retaliation by the Indian Army.

It is the first ceasefire violation after India launched Operation Sindoor from 6-10 May in response to the Pahalgam militant attack.

They said that no casualties were reported on the Indian side. (KNC)
