Arco United FC outclasses New JK United, marches into qualifier 2

Srinagar, Jul 28: Arco United FC booked their spot in Qualifier 2 of the Khyber Cements Kashmir Super League 2025 with a commanding 4-2 victory over New JK United FC in the first Eliminator played on Monday.

As per a statement issued, in a pulsating clash that showcased high-octane football, Arco United’s sharp attacking unit and disciplined play proved too strong for their rivals, keeping their championship hopes alive in the marquee tournament reshaping football in the Valley.

The match saw top-quality football from both sides, but Arco United FC’s clinical finishing and coordinated gameplay helped them dominate key moments and ultimately take control of the match.

The excitement in the stadium peaked during halftime, which was marked by the presence of distinguished guests including Shabir Ahmad Kullay, MLA Shopian, Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the JK Sports Council; Qazi Irfan, RTO Kashmir; and Muazam, ARTO Srinagar. They lauded the league’s efforts in reviving football enthusiasm in the Valley and commended the young players for their performance.

Sharing the match awards details, the Khyber Game Changer Award was given to Kamran Hameed, the Khyber Player of the Match went to Mohammad Uneeb, the Athwas Golden Moment Award was given to Shoaib Haneef, the Events Emporio X Factor Excellence Award to Nadeem Ali, and the Kings Player of the Match was given to Qazim Naveed.
