Tarun Chugh welcomes US decision declaring TRF terrorist outfit

Jammu, Jul 19: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today welcomed the decision of the United States (US) government to officially designate The Resistance Front (TRF) as a terrorist organisation, calling it a “diplomatic victory for India” and a firm endorsement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertive foreign policy doctrine.

In a statement, Chugh said the TRF’s involvement in terror activities, particularly its role in the recent Pahalgam massacre, was not just an attack on innocent civilians but a direct challenge to India’s sovereignty and peace.

“This move by the US exposes the Pakistan-backed terror ecosystem and vindicates India’s long-standing stand that groups like TRF are merely front organizations for Lashkar-e-Taiba and other Pakistan-sponsored terror outfits,” he added.

The BJP leader said that this is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clear and uncompromising stance on terrorism, and his ability to rally global powers to act decisively. “Whether it is isolating terror sponsors at global forums or pushing for international accountability, PM Modi’s foreign policy has delivered where others only made statements,” Chugh remarked.

He also pointed out that while the opposition parties continue to politicise India’s national security issues, global powers like the US are standing with India in its fight against terrorism. “Today’s designation by the US is not just a statement—it’s a strategic alignment with India’s security concerns,” Chugh emphasised.

BJP leader called on the global community to go a step further and expose and sanction Pakistan’s deep-state operatives who continue to provide cover and funding to groups like LeT and TRF. He said this moment must serve as a warning to terror sponsors that India under PM Modi is not isolated but globally backed.

“This is a message to the enemies of peace: India will not bow down, and the world is standing with us,” Chugh said.
