Srinagar, Jul 18: Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi today visited Eidgah here.
According to a press release, she met youth delegations and reviewed future plans of development. Dr Andrabi also met the sports clubs representatives and listened to their demands for the maintenance of playing field here.
She later interacted with the sports council authorities regarding the levelling of the ground for sports activities. Waqf Chairperson assured the youth that their demands will be taken care of. The representatives of the sportspersons thanked Dr Darakhshan for her on the spot resolution of their demands. Andrabi also thanked the Sports Council authorities for their assurance of help in improving the sports field area.
Waqf Board Chairperson took stock of the ground situation for the infrastructural plans of historic Eidgah to taken up by the Board in future. She was accompanied by the engineering team of the Waqf Board. Prominent citizens of the area also met Dr Andrabi during her visit. “Our developmental plans take concrete shape always on the ground zero. Public involvement and local cooperation helps us in completion of the infrastructural projects as per the need,” said Dr Andrabi while interacting with the people there. Social Activist Faheem Reshi also met Dr Darakhshan Andrabi. The youth delegation comprised of the Baba Mudasir, Aijaz Shalla, Mohammad Ashraf and others, the press release said.
