Apprenticeship Training Notification Released By DRDO DIBT For Diploma And ITI Posts

The Defence Institute of Biodefence Technologies (DIBT), Mysore has released an official notification inviting applications for Apprentice Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The training will be provided for a duration of 12 months for candidates from both Diploma and ITI backgrounds.

As per the notification issued by DIBT Mysore, there are a total of 20 apprentice positions available for various trades including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Machinist, Fitter, and Electrician. Candidates applying for these posts should be between 18 and 27 years of age. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 7000 to Rs. 8000 depending on their qualification.

Interested and eligible candidates must apply through the official apprenticeship portals and send their filled application forms by speed post and email to DIBT Mysore within one month from the date of publication, i.e., by 14 August 2025. Applicants are advised to read the complete notification details given below carefully before applying.

The registration process for DIBT Mysore Apprenticeship Training 2025 will begin from 15 July 2025. Notification Date: 15 July 2025. Last Date of Application: 14 August 2025.

Vacancy Details:
DIBT has invited applications from candidates fulfilling the required criteria to fill up the following vacant positions:
Diploma Apprentice in Mechanical Engineering – 04 posts,
Diploma Apprentice in Electrical Engineering – 04 posts,
ITI Apprentice in Machinist – 05 posts,
ITI Apprentice in Fitter – 03 posts, and
ITI Apprentice in Electrician – 04 posts.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below. Candidates applying for the Diploma Apprentice posts must possess a diploma in engineering or technology granted by a state board, council, university, or institution recognized by the government. For ITI Apprentice posts, candidates must hold a certificate in a vocational course of two years duration after class 10, recognized by the AICTE. Only those who passed in 2023, 2024, or 2025 as regular candidates are eligible. Candidates with higher qualifications or more than one year of work experience are not eligible. The age limit for all posts is 18 to 27 years as on 31 July 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.

How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the official portals www.nats.education.gov.in for Diploma posts and www.apprenticeshipindia.org for ITI trades. They must also send their filled applications by speed post to DIBT Mysore and a scanned copy via email.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of academic merit and will be subject to successful document verification. There will be no written test or interview. Final selection will also depend on submission of a medical fitness certificate in the prescribed format from a government hospital.
