HC notifies timings for Distt Courts in Jammu province

Jammu, Jul 4: High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Friday notified new timings for the District Courts of Jammu province, to be effective from July 7, 2025.

As per a notification issued by Registrar General (officiating) M K Sharma, with effect from July 7, 2025, the District Courts of Jammu province will function as per the time schedule, notified earlier vide High Court Order No 1638/NG dated May 22, 2020., which is tabulated as under for ready reference:

Corresponding to the specified schedule notified (on May 22, 2020), the office timing in District Courts will be 9.30 am to 1 pm in the first session while following an hour-long break from 1 pm to 2 pm, second session will start at 2 pm and will conclude at 4.30 pm.Court timing will be from 10 am to 1 pm in the first session and 2 pm to 4 pm in the second session with a break of one hour from 1 pm to 2 pm. “Consequently, the High Court Notification No. 1313 of 2025/RG/ NG-03(l) dated 08-04-2025, so far it pertains to the timing of District Courts of Jammu province of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, shall stand withdrawn,” Registrar General notified.
