One Dead, Another Injured in Road Accident

SRINAGAR: One person lost his life while another was injured in a road accident during the midnight hours on Saturday at the Shalteng area of Srinagar.

Sources said that both the injured were immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment. However, one among them, identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Shah Gund, Bandipora, succumbed to his injuries in the morning today.

The second person, who also hails from Shah Gund, Hajin, is currently undergoing treatment, they said.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation has started. (JKNS)
