SKUAST Jammu Project Associate /JRF Post 2025 – Apply By 16 July For DBT Funded Project

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has released an official advertisement inviting applications for the temporary position of Project Associate I/Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The post is available under a DBT-funded research project titled “Mainstreaming sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement and sustainability through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery”.

The position is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project. Initially, the appointment is for one year and may be extended annually based on satisfactory performance. The last date to submit the completed application form is 16 July 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.

Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology. The upper age limit is 35 years. Preference will be given to candidates with NET qualification and relevant experience in bioinformatics, particularly NGS data analysis, which should be supported by publications, thesis, or experience letters.

For NET/GATE qualified candidates, the salary is ₹37,000 + HRA per month. For non-NET/GATE candidates, the salary will be ₹25,000 + HRA or as per DBT revised guidelines.
