DRDO DESIDOC Junior Research Fellow Post 2025 Notification Out For Library & Information Science

The Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), Delhi, a premier lab under DRDO, has released the official notification inviting applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the field of Library and Information Science. The fellowship offers a research opportunity for meritorious Indian nationals who wish to explore work in library science, documentation, and digital archiving.

As per the notification (Advt. No: DESIDOC/001/2025), there is one post available for JRF with a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 plus HRA as per DRDO norms. The initial tenure is two years and may be extended by another two years based on performance and recommendation of the internal screening committee. Candidates must be below 28 years of age on the date of interview.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must hold a B.Sc (First Class) and M.L.I.Sc (First Class) from a UGC-recognized university and must be UGC-NET qualified. Preference will be given to those with expertise in digital library systems and bibliographic databases. Desirable qualification includes M.Sc in Basic Sciences. The maximum age limit is 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years), excluding OBC candidates in the creamy layer.
