SRINAGAR: Two people were killed and six others injured after a local vehicle met with an accident on the Aru Valley road near Pahalgam on Wednesday.
Officials said that the vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed, resulting in the deaths of two occupants and injuries to six others.
The injured were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment, officials said.
Further details regarding the cause of the accident are awaited. Initial reports suggest that the deceased were residents of Dialgam in Anantnag district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. (GNS)
