DC Budgam, SSP Srinagar review arrangements for SANJY at Nowgam Railway Station

Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Dr GV Sundeep Chakravarthy visited Nowgam Railway Station to review the arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2026.

During the visit, the officers conducted a comprehensive inspection of the facilities being established at the railway station for the convenience of pilgrims traveling through rail.

The preparedness of various departments was reviewed with a focus on ensuring seamless movement and facilitation of Yatris arriving through the station, said an official statement.

Arrangements related to healthcare services, drinking water supply, sanitation, cleanliness, power supply, lighting, and overall passenger convenience were also reviewed during the visit.

The visit was attended by the SSP RPF, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), SP West Srinagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Chief Area Manager Railways, Joint Director Planning Budgam, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Budgam, SDM Chadoora, SDPO, Tehsildar BK Pora, SHO Nowgam, Executive Engineer PDD Budgam, Station Master, senior officers from the Police Department, Railway authorities, and other concerned departments.
