
Jammu, Jun 4: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, on Thursday emphasised the need for proactive policing, enhanced public outreach and prompt response to grievances of citizens.
He issued these instructions while chairing a comprehensive crime review meeting at District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu, to assess the prevailing crime scenario and review the performance of various police units across the district.
The meeting was attended by all zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Station House Officers (SHOs) and in-charge Police Posts and Border Police Posts of district Jammu.
During the meeting, SSP Jammu undertook a detailed review of crime-related matters, law and order issues, investigation of pending cases, execution of warrants, preventive actions and measures being taken against drug trafficking, organised crime and other unlawful activities.
Officers were directed to ensure timely investigation and disposal of cases while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability.
Emphasising the importance of effective policing, SSP Jammu exhorted all officers to work with passion, dedication, and commitment towards public service.
SSP Joginder Singh further directed all field officers to intensify efforts against anti-social elements, strengthen crime prevention mechanisms and maintain close coordination with the public to ensure peace, security and a sense of safety among the people.
During the meeting, the district police reaffirmed the commitment to provide transparent, people-friendly and efficient policing while upholding the rule of law.
