SRINAGAR: Kashmir is not expected to witness any heatwave conditions over the next 10 days, with daytime temperatures likely to remain close to seasonal averages, according to weather forecasts.

A few isolated days may record slightly above-normal readings, but intermittent weather activity is set to prevent any sustained rise, ensuring overall pleasant conditions across the Valley.

In the Jammu plains, temperatures are projected to rise further on Wednesday before beginning a downward trend from Thursday onwards. A sharper fall in mercury levels is likely on Friday and Saturday, offering relief from the recent warming spell. However, forecasts suggest another upward trend may develop from May 31.

Meteorological assessments indicate that while short-term fluctuations will continue across the Union Territory, no significant heatwave threat is anticipated during the forecast period.
