Teenager dies after signboard falls on him in south Kashmir

Srinagar, May 13: A teenage boy lost his life after a signboard reportedly fell on him in the Shistergam area of Doru in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

News agency JKNS reported that the officials identified the deceased as Aasif Hussain Rather, 16, a resident of Shistergam.

Officials said the teenager sustained critical injuries in the incident and was immediately rushed by locals to Sub-District Hospital Qazigund for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
