16-Year-Old Dies After Signboard Falls in South Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A teenage boy lost his life after an MGNREGA signboard accidentally fell on him in the Shistergam area of Doru in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Aasif Hussain Rather, a resident of Shistergam.

Officials said the boy sustained critical injuries after the signboard reportedly fell on him. He was immediately shifted by locals to Sub-District Hospital Qazigund for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further proceedings have been initiated. (JKNS)
