
SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has informed that multiple scheduled power shutdowns will be carried out across various parts of the Kashmir Valley between May 12 and 19, 2026 for maintenance works.
According to the statement, the 33 KV Habbak–Zakura–Burzhama line will remain shut on May 17 from 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM, affecting supply to Zakura, Batpora, Gulabagh, Burzhama, Chaterhama, Tailbal, Danihama, Khimber, Shuperbagh and adjoining areas.
Similarly, the 33 KV Cheshmashahi–Brein–Nishat line and Cheshmashahi–Shalimar line/Nishat tap line will remain affected on May 13 and 19 from 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM, impacting areas including Dalbund, Brein, Tulip Garden, Pahloo, Taj Vivanta, BSNL, Nishat, Foreshore, Pathanbagh and the filtration plant area.
The 33 KV Cheshmashahi–Buchwara line will also be shut on May 12 from 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM, affecting BB-Cant tap line, Nehru Park, Dalgate, Dal, Zabarwan and adjoining localities.
Likewise, the 33 KV Cheshmashahi–TRC–Nedous line and Rajbagh tap line will remain affected on May 13 from 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM, impacting TRC, Nedous, Sonwar, Zabarwan, Dalgate and nearby areas.
In addition, the 220/132/33 KV Grid Station Delina will observe a shutdown on May 15 from 02:30 PM to 03:00 PM, affecting a wide range of areas including Sopore, Baramulla, Uri, Boniyar, Kreeri, Magam, Beerwah, Kunzer and several adjoining localities.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled interruptions.
