Rapido Operating Without Valid Licence in Jammu Kashmir, Warns Transport Commissioner | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan on Sunday said that bike taxi service Rapido is operating in the Union Territory without a valid licence and cautioned that people using or participating in the service would do so at their own risk.

In a post on X, Mahajan said his office had received multiple complaints regarding the functioning of Rapido in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the company had not been granted permission to operate in the UT.

“Anybody participating in the service or using it is doing so at his or her own risk,” he said.

The Transport Commissioner further stated that directions had been issued to the concerned officers to initiate action against the “illegal service”.
