Srinagar, 25, April 2026: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) wing of J&K Police have seized a number of incriminating devices in a raid in Central jail in Srinagar on Saturday .
These devices were seized as part of terror- linked investigations, police sources said .
The searches were carried out following a warrant issued by the Special Judge designated under the NIA Act, Srinagar, in connection with FIR No. 06/2023 registered at Police Station CI Kashmir under Sections 153-A, 505, 121, and 120-B of the IPC, along with Sections 13 and 39 of the UA(P) Act.
Officials said that the searches were conducted based on “credible technical inputs” indicating the presence of suspicious digital signatures within the high-security prison here. Acting on these leads, teams conducted thorough searches across multiple barracks in coordination with jail authorities.
