JAMMU, April 18: The Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), Jammu Chapter conducted an International Seminar in online mode on “Transformative Role of Technology in Governance Landscape: Some Reflections.” The seminar was organised to address the pressing challenge of bridging the gap between high-level strategy and ground-level execution in governance and public sector reform. It brought together senior policymakers, administrative leaders, and international experts from India and Singapore to deliberate on systemic thinking, psychological safety, and collective resilience for driving sustainable results in complex organisational environments. On this occasion, the keynote address was delivered by Prof T.V. Rao, Chairman of T. V. Rao Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd., who set the tone for the deliberations. The event featured four technical sessions. First Technical Session on ‘Technology and Governance Landscape of Jammu and Kashmir’ was moderated by former Director General of Police, J&K, Sh. Kuldeep Khoda, with Dr Ashok Bhan, former Director General of Police (Intelligence) and Director General of Police (Prisons), as the eminent speaker. Second Technical Session focused on ‘AI and Human-Centric Learning’ and was moderated by Prof Hardeep Chahal. The speaker was Mr Srivatsa (Sri) Kadaba from Singapore, an executive facilitator specializing in high-stakes communication and behavioural strategy. Third Technical Session on ‘Workplace Inclusivity and Social Responsibility’ was moderated by Prof. Feza Tabassum Azmi from FMSR, AMU. Ms Sripriyaa Venkataraman from Singapore, COO & Director-Innovation at Tripura Multinational and Global Coaching Lab, deliberated on a wide range of issues.The last Technical Session was on ‘HR Technology and Future of Work’, moderated by Prof Jeevan Jyoti. Ms Rashmi Gogna from Singapore, a leadership transformation and executive coach, was the main resource person.Each technical session was followed by a Q&A session. Earlier, Prof Hardeep Chahal welcomed the guests, and Prof Ashok Aima presented an overview of the theme of the International Seminar and the activities of the ISTD Jammu Chapter. Four seminar tracks covered technology and governance landscape of J&K, AI and human-centric learning, workplace inclusivity and social responsibility, and HR technology and future of work. Speaking on the occasion, organisers said the event aimed to foster cross-border dialogue on tech-enabled, inclusive and responsive governance with a special focus on Jammu & Kashmir’s unique geographical and administrative challenges. The seminar saw active participation from more than 180 participants including academicians, researchers, government officials, and students from across the country. Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice-Chancellor of the Islamic University of Science and Technology, was the Chief Guest for this international seminar. The valedictory session concluded with closing remarks delivered by Atul Shah, National President, ISTD. The event was organized under the Mentorship of Sr. Prof K.S. Chandrasekar by Team ISTD Jammu Chapter including Dr Sanjay Kumar, Treasurer ISTD Jammu Chapter, Faculty Members of Cluster University of Jammu including Prof. Vishal Sharma, Dean, School of Social Sciences and others. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Shahid Mushtaq, Secretary, ISTD Jammu Chapter and Dr Neetu, Coordinator, Department of Commerce, Cluster University of Jammu, served as the Master of Ceremonies.
