
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Kashmir due to maintenance work on key transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown of the 33 kV Soibugh–Wadwan line will impact electricity supply to Soibugh, Dharmuna, Wadwan, Rasoo, Gotpora, Chatbugh, Pymus, Gariend, Nadigam, Banggam, Wahpora and adjoining areas from 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM on April 8, 2026
In a separate notice, the shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina–Fateh Kadal and 33 kV Bemina–Barbarshah lines will disrupt power supply to K.K. Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, Babademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Nai Sarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma Bazar and nearby localities from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on April 11 and April 13, 2026.
Additionally, the 33 kV Beerwah–Arizal Tapline shutdown will affect Arizal, Zanigam, Reyar, Doodhpathry and surrounding areas from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on April 8, 2026.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled outage periods.
