Govt committed to responsive governance, prompt redressal of public grievances: CM Omar Abdullah

Jammu, Apr 6: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday held a series of meetings with public representatives, former legislators, officials and various delegations in Jammu.

MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia, as per an official statement called on the Chief Minister and apprised him of several issues pertaining to his constituency, seeking timely intervention for their redressal.

A delegation led by former Minister and President, JaatSabha J&K, Manjeet Singh, along with former Ministers, a former Member of Parliament and other representatives, also met the Chief Minister and discussed a range of public issues.

Former State Election Commissioner, B R Sharma, called on the Chief Minister and exchanged views on matters of public importance.

Chairperson, J&K BOPEE, DrMinu Mahajan, briefed the Chief Minister on the functioning and ongoing initiatives of the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations.

Later, Dr. AnujVaid, Chairman, Jammu Chapter of NIRC of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, met the Chief Minister and discussed various professional and institutional matters.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave a patient hearing to all the delegations and assured that the issues raised would be addressed on priority.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to responsive governance and prompt redressal of public grievances.
