Cursor Hackathon Kashmir concludes successfully with strong participation

Srinagar, Mar 30: The Cursor Hackathon Kashmir, a two-day innovation event hosted at National Institute of Technology Srinagar, concluded on a high note, bringing together young innovators and showcasing impactful, real-world solutions.

A total of 125 teams participated on Day 1, submitting projects after an intense phase of ideation and development. The presence of an 11-year-old participant highlighted the inclusive and inspiring nature of the event.

Following a rigorous screening process, the top 15 teams advanced to the final round on Day 2. These finalists presented live pitches along with working prototypes, demonstrating both creativity and practical execution. The projects reflected strong innovation, with many addressing everyday challenges and offering scalable solutions.

Participants made effective use of modern tools such as Cursor, OpenAI, Exa and Convex to develop their ideas.

The final round was judged by Dr. Iqra Altaf Gillani, Dr. Kaiser Giri, Mohtasham Madani and Inaam ul Haq, who assessed entries on innovation, feasibility and impact.

UncDoIt secured first place, followed by LearnMate and CivicPulse. Winners received cash prizes, merchandise and development support.

The hackathon fostered collaboration, learning and innovation, with strong audience engagement throughout. It was organised by student coordinators Zaid Khan and Mohtasham Murshid Madani.
