Srinagar, Mar 28: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday staged a protest at Press Colony here, targeting the ruling National Conference (NC) over alleged failure to fulfil key promises made to the people.

Party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers and raised slogans against the government, accusing it of backtracking on major welfare commitments.

The protesters flagged issues including non-implementation of 200 units of free electricity, shortage of kerosene, and irregular supply of LPG cylinders and petrol, alleging that the concerns of the common people have been ignored, as  KNS. Senior PDP leaders said the rising cost of living and shortage of essential supplies have added to public hardship. They warned of intensifying their agitation if corrective measures are not taken, saying the government must be held accountable for its promises.
