Indian Navy has released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for Agniveer posts under SSR, MR and SSR (Med) categories. The recruitment is being conducted through the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) 2026.

Eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online for the Agniveer SSR 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches, Agniveer MR 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches, and SSR (Med) 02/2027 batch. The application process will start from 14 March 2026.

Eligibility Criteria of Indian Navy Agniveer Vacancies

Educational Qualification

Agniveer (SSR)	10+2 with Mathematics and Physics from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate OR 3-year Engineering Diploma with 50% marks OR 2-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks
Agniveer (MR)	Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
SSR (Med)	10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and at least 40% in each subject

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Age Limit: Candidates born between 01 December 2004 and 31 October 2009 are eligible to apply, depending on the batch.

Indian Navy Agniveer Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a monthly package of Rs. 30,000 in the first year with yearly increments during the four-year service period.

Agniveers will also receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package after completion of the tenure. In addition, a non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs will be provided.
