Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I under an ANRF funded research project. The recruitment is being conducted under the Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research (PAIR) programme.

Eligible Indian candidates can attend the walk-in interview with required documents on the scheduled date at the SMVDU campus.

The selected candidate will work under the ANRF-funded project at SMVDU with collaboration from IIT Ropar as the hub institute.

Salary / Fellowship

Post	Monthly Emoluments
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)	₹37,000 + HRA as per norms
Project Associate-I	₹30,000 + HRA as per ANRF norms

Candidates who are not GATE qualified may be considered for the Project Associate-I position.

Eligibility Criteria

Requirement	Details
Educational Qualification	Bachelor’s degree with first division in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical, Materials Science, Production, Design, Manufacturing or Metallurgy from a recognized university.
Mandatory Requirement	Candidate must be GATE qualified in the relevant subject for JRF position.

Desirable Skills

Postgraduate qualification in relevant field
Knowledge of design software
Experience in 3D printing and design
Experience in experimental tribology

Project Duration

The initial appointment will be for a period of one year or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Project requirements
Availability of funds

Candidates selected as Junior Research Fellow may get an opportunity to join a Joint Ph.D programme or joint Ph.D supervision with IIT Ropar, subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions and applying separately as per SMVDU PhD rules.
